Fired from their jobs, two middle-aged moms spontaneously flee from their families to take refuge on a cruise ship. Though freedom at sea doesn’t quash their mid-life crisis, they encounter a host of batty staff and passengers that help them re-evaluate, change and make peace with their lives.

A Brooklyn Muslim enclave is shaken when a Pakistani-American teen brutally kills his own father. When an Irish-American detective and his niece, a reporter, digs into the crime and start to uncover the family's past, they find a common thread that's all too familiar with immigrants of any era.
